Bavarian Beerfest
Passau, Germany

Bavarian Beerfest

A Treasured German Tradition Participate in a festive Oktoberfest-style celebration in a stunning rural setting. Bavaria is renowned for its rich tradition of brewing beer. For centuries, the ingredients and production of Bavarian beer were regulated by strict guidelines known as the Reinheitsgebot , or purity decree. Though many of those rules have been lifted, purists remain and still brew some of the world’s finest beers. You will drive from Passau into the rolling green hills of the Bavarian countryside to Gut Aichet, a sprawling riverside farm at the heart of the region’s agriculture. After a brief tour of the farm with your host, immerse yourself in a true German party brought to life with traditional music and locally brewed beer. If you wish, you can join in the dancing and celebrate the spirit of Bavaria. Savor authentic brezen , or pretzels, during your stay, along with assorted breads, spreads and locally cured ham. * Easy - Walking portions are generally over easy surfaces with few steps or inclines. Total time walking or standing is normally not longer than 1.5 hours.
