Privacy notice

Updated October 11, 2026. This notice describes information used by the Port Planner service.

Information you provide

When you create an account, we store your name, email address, and a password hash. We also store the profile details, travel preferences, saved cruises, excursion ratings and shortlists, planning choices, invitations, and reviews you submit. Avoid including sensitive personal information in free-text fields.

How information is used and shared

We use this information to provide your account, saved plans, partner comparisons, recommendations, billing access, invitation emails, and account support. When you link a travel partner, the shared planning tools show the information needed to compare and plan together. Reviews you submit may be displayed publicly after moderation.

Stripe processes subscription payments and provides the billing portal. Port Planner stores subscription and payment identifiers and status; card entry happens through Stripe. Our hosting, security, and email providers process information needed to operate the service. When you use recommendation or smart matching features, relevant planning and preference information is sent to the configured intelligence model service to generate the result. Embedded external videos may also contact their provider when loaded or played.

Cookies and operational records

We use session cookies for sign-in and security. The service also records account and product activity and security logs to operate the service and investigate problems. Security and hosting logs may contain connection information such as an IP address.

Your account and requests

You can edit available profile and planning details in the app and manage your subscription through Account. To request access, correction, or deletion of account information, or ask about this notice, email support@portplanner.io. We may need to verify your account before acting on a request. Billing and security records may need to be retained after account deletion.

Port Planner is independent of Viking. Information you provide to Viking when booking is handled by Viking, rather than by Port Planner.
