Small Group Experience: Picturesque Bratislava
Vienna, Austria

Small Group Experience: Picturesque Bratislava

An Easygoing and Intimate Capital City Get acquainted with the Slovakian capital, a vibrant and relaxed cultural center. Meet your guide at your ship, then set off with your small group (maximum of 16 guests) to explore this historic city. Drive by Grassalkovich Palace and Freedom Square on your way to Bratislava Castle for a view over the city. Then, descend to the Old Town to see its ornate mansions and Art Nouveau houses. During your walking tour, see the medieval Town Hall complex, where a tower looks over the red-roofed city, and view the fortifications at Michael’s Gate, one of the only surviving medieval gateways. See the Baroque Holy Savior Jesuit Church and the Gothic St. Martin’s Cathedral. A stunning and revered remnant from the city’s past, it was the site of Hungarian coronations for more than 250 years. Enjoy free time in the town center before returning to your ship. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines. Total time walking or standing normally ranges from 1.5 to 3 hours.
