Experience a Taste of Montenegro Journey into the breathtaking Montenegro countryside for a taste of the country’s rich bounty. With a local guide, you will drive through the Vrmac Tunnel beneath its namesake mountain. The tunnel was completed in 2007 and now links Kotor to the country’s motorways. Your destination is the Luštica Peninsula, known for its beautiful coastline and its production of such local products as cheese, prosciutto and wine. Immerse yourself in the farming culture during a visit and tour one of the local olive farms. Walk through the groves of centuries-old trees to the modern production facility where olive oil is produced. You will see the venerable stone olive press and farmhouse and witness the rural way of life in Montenegro before sampling and learning about the local produce.
