Ta Prohm Temple
Hanoi, Vietnam

Ta Prohm Temple

Admire a Precious Jewel of Khmer Art Visit the Ta Prohm temple, a historic site that has been reclaimed by the surrounding jungle. Begin by heading into the Cambodian countryside to a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Angkor archeological complex. Here, you will meet your guide and drive to the temple of Ta Prohm. Founded as a Buddhist monastery during the late 12th and early 13th centuries, this photogenic site has been left largely untouched since its discovery. The jungle growth has overtaken much of the ruins, so you will see these staggering remains much as European explorers did when they first stumbled upon them. Admire how this imposing temple has merged with the surrounding growth without quite becoming a part of it. After you have explored this historic and mystic site, transfer back to your hotel. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines. Total time walking or standing normally ranges from 1.5 to 3 hours.
