Meet the Thrysøe Family
Savor a Taste of Award-Winning Danish “Champagne” Explore one of the world’s most northerly located vineyards during a home-hosted visit. The Thrysøe family, owners of Guldbæk Vineyards, planted their first vines on the slopes outside of Guldbæk in 2008; today, they cultivate more than 15,000 grape vines of various varieties. Upon arrival, receive a warm welcome from your hosts and a glass of the bubbly 2020 award-winning local “champagne,” then enjoy a tour of both the winery and the beautiful vineyards. Hear stories from the family, who will explain the future of wine production and how they do everything by hand in an effort to create a more sustainable and organic wine. Cap your visit on the terrace, situated above the winery overlooking the hills. Here, admire the striking surroundings as your hosts share three of their award-winning wines, accompanied by a selection of locally sourced small dishes. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines.
