Cornish Pasty Workshop
Discover the Origins of a Local Delicacy Delve into Cornwall’s food culture during a hands-on workshop where you will learn how to prepare Cornish pasties. Journey by ferry to the small fishing village of St. Mawes, nestled at the end of Cornwall’s Roseland Peninsula. Your destination is the St. Mawes Bakery, a family-run bakery where four generations of bakers have produced authentic pasties and treats made from locally sourced ingredients. Here, you will meet one of the bakers, who will guide you through a workshop on how to prepare Cornwall’s most iconic dish, the Cornish pasty. Learn how to mix the dough and crimp it to create the pasty’s unique shape, and try your hand at creating your own version of this local delicacy. While your pasty bakes, you may take part in a guided walk around the harbor before returning to the bakery to collect your handmade creation and make the journey back to Falmouth and your awaiting ship. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines. Total time walking or standing normally ranges from 1.5 to 3 hours.
