Wildlife Reserve & Patagonian Seafood

Penguins and a Patagonian Cooking Demonstration Venture into rarely visited research zones of Estancia San Lorenzo, set within the UNESCO-listed Península Valdés. Drive by motor coach to Península Valdés, one of Patagonia’s most remarkable wildlife sanctuaries. Upon arrival, continue to Estancia San Lorenzo to view one of the largest Magellanic penguin colonies in the world. Here, you will step behind the scenes and visit research zones closed to general visitors. Walk the coastal paths with a naturalist guide and learn about Magellanic penguin migration, breeding cycles, predators and field research, while observing their natural behavior up-close. After, return to your coach and head to the coastal village of Puerto Pirámides, where you will watch a professional chef demonstrate the preparation of Patagonian seafood. Cap your visit by tasting the finished product for lunch, accompanied by local wine, then return to your ship. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines. Total time walking or standing normally ranges from 1.5 to 3 hours.
