Meet the World’s Largest Dinosaur

Delve Deep Into the Past at Patagonia’s Paleontological Museum Marvel at the biggest dinosaur that ever lived on a journey deep into the past. In 2012, a Patagonian rancher unearthed the bones of a previously unknown dinosaur. At about 120 feet long and weighing as much as 12 elephants, Patagotitan is the largest species yet discovered. Travel to the Paleontological Museum in Trelew, where the reassembled bones of the beast—which lived here more than 100 million years ago—are on display. Watch a series of high-quality exhibits that present the natural history of Patagonia and inspect the hundreds of fossils, which include the carnivorous Tyrannotitan dinosaur, during a guided visit. Then, in a behind-the-scenes look at the laboratories, gain insight into the work of the scientists who research the region’s rich paleontology. One will join you for lunch at the museum's restaurant before your return to your ship. * Easy - Walking portions are generally over easy surfaces with few steps or inclines. Total time walking or standing is normally not longer than 1.5 hours.
