Continue into the mountains to Sysendammen, a manmade lake supplying the Sima Power Plant. From here, you will enjoy sweeping vistas over the Hardangervidda, Norway’s largest national park and a paradise for hiking and fishing. Walk to the dam to admire the sweeping views; on a clear day, you can see the Hardangerjøkulen glacier. En route back to your ship, stop to gaze upon the magnificent Vøringsfossen waterfall, dropping 550 feet into the Måbødalen canyon. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines.
