Venture Into the Woods and Journey to a Medieval Homestead Enjoy an invigorating hike through the wilderness and visit a medieval homestead. Embark on a scenic drive by motor coach to Tønsvika, a small village nestled on the mouth of the Tønsvikelva River. On arrival, set out with your guide on a trek through the picturesque woodland. At the end of the path, you will reach a clearing amid the trees and a courtyard where the Tønsviking Medieval Homestead awaits. Step back in time and enter the Viking Age, where you will be warmly greeted by the homestead’s master builder. He will share stories of life during the Viking era and explain more about the ancient building techniques used in the homestead’s construction. You will then take your seat in the Viking Hall, where refreshments await.
