View City Sights by Helicopter Take flight on a scenic journey by helicopter over the “Gateway to the Arctic.” Meet your guide at the pier and embark on a short drive to Tromsø airport, where your helicopter awaits. Here, you will meet your pilot, don your headset and climb into your seat. Marvel at the views as you take to the skies, flying over some of the city’s landmarks. See the university and trace the shoreline, passing the Tromsø Bridge. You will pass over the Arctic Cathedral, Tromsø’s most famous landmark; its modern structure is a striking piece of architecture. You will also see Tromsø Cathedral, Norway’s only wooden cathedral. During your flight, your pilot will point out other highlights, including a glimpse of the city’s natural surroundings. After your 30-minute flight, return to base and drive back to your awaiting ship. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines.
