Thrilling Boat Trip to Meet Island Locals Enjoy a thrilling trip by sea to a remote island off the coast of Haugesund. With just 110 inhabitants and only one car, Røvaer island offers a community experience like no other. From the cruise pier, don your required life jacket and board a safe and comfortable rigid inflatable boat, or RIB. For the next half hour, skim along the waters at high speed to the island, where you will be greeted by one of the residents. A guided tour will allow you to glimpse the island’s history, take in the sights including the island’s lighthouse and see how everyday life is for the island’s inhabitants. Before heading back to your ship, enjoy a traditional Danish treat of homemade waffles and refreshments at a local café. * Demanding - Physically challenging activities, including extensive walks, hiking, riding, water sports, and high altitude activities.
