Lummelunda Cave

View Spectacular Stalactites and Take a Garden Walk Explore the mysteries of the Lummelunda Cave, which remained undiscovered for thousands of years. The cave entrance was uncovered in 1948 by three teenage boys, and they were the first people to witness the large cave halls, mirror-like lakes and stunning geological feats. Marvel at nature’s very own artwork and travel back in time to more than 400 million years ago, as your guide shares how the cave was formed and the exciting story of the cave’s discovery. Marvel at the collection of fossilized insects and animals that have left their mark since the last ice age. Continue to the Krusmyntagården for a leisurely stroll as you savor its sweet-smelling herb garden and browse its nursery. Enjoy a typical Swedish fika —a break for coffee and cake—in the garden’s restaurant. Relax and admire your surroundings before boarding your motor coach and heading back to your ship. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines. Total time walking or standing normally ranges from 1.5 to 3 hours.
