Puffins of Vestmannaeyjar by ATV

Drive Through Nature Along Rugged Coastline Experience the raw beauty and dramatic landscapes of Vestmannaeyjar by ATV. Meet your ATV guide who will run through a short safety briefing and provide instructions on operating the ATV. You and your partner will then don your helmets, equipped with an audio system for passenger to rider communication, and set out to Elephant Rock. View this natural sea cliff formation and after time for photos, continue to Stórhöfði, the southernmost point on the island, and take the short walk to view the puffin colony—the largest in the world. Observe these distinctive birds as they take flight and gain insight into their behavior. Continue off-road as you navigate the lava fields of Eldfell, the site of the 1973 volcanic eruption, and to Prestvik Beach, where the fishing vessel Pelagus became stranded. After, return to base and walk back to your ship. Please note: wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed. Drivers must present a valid driver’s license to participate in this tour. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines. Total time walking or standing normally ranges from 1.5 to 3
