Search for Wildlife on Icelandic Shores Traverse the shores of Borgarfjörður Eystri by Rigid Inflatable Boat and seek out coastal wildlife. Begin your journey with a one-and-a-half-hour drive from Seyðisfjörður to this remote village, home to one Iceland’s most accessible puffin colonies. Widely known as the “Puffin Capital of Iceland,” up to 10,000 breeding pairs nest here each summer. On arrival, you will board a state-of-the-art RIB and set out on the water to trace a shoreline marked by dramatic cliffs and rugged coastal scenery. Take in the views as you glide along the water and keep watch for local wildlife—in addition to nesting puffins, other seabirds often soar overhead. If you are lucky, you may also spot seals and dolphins in the pristine waters. After your journey, drive to a local restaurant to enjoy a light lunch, before returning to your awaiting ship.
