Journey to Polar Park
Visit the World’s Northernmost Wildlife Reserve Travel across Norway’s scenic landscape for a visit to the expansive Polar Park. Located at 69° northern latitude, this reserve is the northernmost wildlife park in the world. It is home to a variety of Arctic mammals including wolves, lynx, wolverines, musk oxen, elk, reindeer, mountain foxes and badgers. Embark on a picturesque journey from Narvik, crossing the Hålogaland Bridge, Norway’s second-longest suspension bridge, before heading inland through the birch tree forests of the Gratangs Valley. At Polar Park, take a guided walk along a 2½-mile-long asphalt path that will allow you to observe the animals in their enclosures. The living spaces are large—the park boasts the world’s biggest area-per-animal ratio—so be patient and keep watch for the inhabitants. Watch the animals get fed, then enjoy a snack yourself before returning to your ship. * Demanding - Physically challenging activities, including extensive walks, hiking, riding, water sports, and high altitude activities.
