Møllstunet Farm

Discover Geiranger’s Farming History Gain insight into traditional Norwegian farm life during a visit to a 16th-century farm and homestead. Perched high above the UNESCO-listed Geirangerfjord, Møllstunet Farm invites you to uncover Norway’s rich farming traditions. A short drive from your ship takes you to this cluster of protected farms, which date back to the 16th century and reflect the resilience of fjord life. Upon arrival, you will meet your hosts and step inside a farmhouse for a glimpse into the past as you view walls adorned with ancestral photographs and rooms filled with heirloom furniture. Your hosts will share stories of the families who once worked these steep slopes and offer insight into the region’s farming heritage as you explore the house and its grounds. Conclude your visit with coffee and homemade cake, before returning to your awaiting ship. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines. Total time walking or standing normally ranges from 1.5 to 3 hours.
