Caves of Drach & Mallorcan Pearls

Explore Mallorca’s Subterranean World Head into the breathtaking Cuevas del Drach, or Caves of Drach, one of Mallorca’s stunning natural spectacles. Drive with your guide to Montuiri, a small village perched high atop a ridge in the Mallorcan countryside. Stop at a local shop to see artisans at work, then continue to Porto Cristo. This seaside community is home to the Caves of Drach. Descend into the caves with your guide, taking in the sight of the beautifully illuminated stalactites and stalagmites, which create a wondrous subterranean atmosphere. Within the chambers lies Lake Martel, believed to be one of the largest underground lakes in the world. Explore the caves, then settle into the amphitheater facing the lake to enjoy a short concert of classical music featuring compositions by Caballero and Chopin. After time to experience more of Porto Cristo on your own, return to your awaiting ship. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines. Total time walking or standing normally ranges from 1.5 to 3 hours.
