A Journey Through Striking Landscapes Cruise along the Berufjörður fjord and discover the unspoiled beauty of East Iceland from the water. You will be greeted at the pier by your guide, who will accompany you to your awaiting rigid inflatable boat, or RIB, where you will don a waterproof suit to ensure your comfort and safety during your journey. After a safety briefing, climb down into your vessel and set out onto the pristine waters. Soak up the views as you cruise around the Berufjörður fjord, staying alert for sightings of the wildlife who make their homes here. Harbor seals and gray seals lounge on the rocky shores, while puffins nest on the surrounding cliffs. Other seabirds including Arctic terns and eiders may be spotted nearby, or you may spot whales – they are known to occasionally feed in these waters. After your journey, disembark your vessel, remove your suit and return to your ship on foot. Please note: wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed.
