The North Cape & King Crab

Visit the End of the World and Sample a Norwegian Delicacy Visit Norway’s northernmost point, learn about its midnight sun and sample some of the region’s famous king crab. Journey to the North Cape and walk along the plateau. Its cliff stands at over 1,000 feet high and offers stunning vistas, including the midnight sun, visible from May to July. At the North Cape Hall, view exhibits including the Globe Monument , a sculpture marking “the end of Europe” and The Children of Earth , seven bronze discs created by children from around the world that symbolize unity, hope and friendship. Next, drive across Magerøya Island to a fish factory, where you will gain insight into the industry in the 21st century. Try their produce before visiting the Honningsvåg Church, then continue to a local restaurant with views of the marina to learn about the Norwegian king crab. Taste a sample of this freshly caught Norwegian delicacy before returning to your ship. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines. Total time walking or standing normally ranges from 1.5 to 3 hours.
