Geiranger, Norway

A Nordic Hike to Westerås & Hole

An Exhilarating Walk Amid Immense Beauty Get a terrific workout in a spectacular fjord setting. Nordic walking began as summer training for cross-country skiers; now, it is a popular, time-efficient and low-stress exercise for fitness walkers. Meet your guide and experienced Nordic walker at our berth. After an instructional session, set off with your specially designed poles that help work the upper body as you walk. Begin at a casual pace, traversing the hills and admiring the mountainsides of Geiranger. Follow uphill trails of varying steepness over uneven terrain, after which the work you put into the trek will reveal an unforgettable payoff: spectacular views of the fjord and countryside. During the walk, stop at the village of Westerås to enjoy a break before continuing to the mountainside village of Hole. After a brief stop, begin the walk back to the pier. * Demanding - Physically challenging activities, including extensive walks, hiking, riding, water sports, and high altitude activities. Activities by foot may contain difficult, unpaved surfaces and/or multiple stairs and steep inclines. Total time walking or standing may exceed 3 hours.
