Eden Killer Whale Museum & Aboriginal Cultural Experience

Whaling History and an Indigenous Community Hub Discover Eden’s rich heritage during a visit to a local museum and the Aboriginal-led Jigamy Farm. Begin with a drive by motor coach to the Rotary Lookout, a scenic viewpoint overlooking Twofold Bay. Pause for photos, then continue to the Eden Killer Whale Museum to learn about the historical relationship between whalers and orcas. View exhibits dedicated to Eden’s whaling past and see the skeleton of Old Tom, the centerpiece of the museum. After free time in nearby Boydtown, visit Jigamy Farm for an Aboriginal-led cultural experience. Upon arrival, you will receive a traditional welcome accompanied by a cleansing smoking ceremony. Then, settle in for a live storytelling and dance performance, followed by an artifact display showcasing traditional tools and customs. Cap your visit with time to browse handicrafts created by First Nations artists, then return to your ship. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines. Total time walking or standing normally ranges from 1.5 to 3 hours.
