Beerenberg Farm & Hahndorf
Adelaide, Australia

Beerenberg Farm & Hahndorf

Historic Village and Strawberry Farm Discover a picturesque village in the Adelaide Hills and visit a family-owned farm producing jams and condiments. Travel to the artisan village of Hahndorf for a day of exploring. Settled in 1839 by Prussian Lutherans seeking religious freedom, Hahndorf is Australia’s oldest remaining German settlement, and that heritage can still be felt in the historic cottages, bakeries, pubs and boutique shops dotting its tree-lined main street. First, stop at Beerenberg Farm on the outskirts for morning tea. Owned by six generations of its namesake family, who have lived and worked here since 1839, Beerenberg Farm is renowned for its jams, chutneys, relishes, and sauces made onsite. Learn about their history while enjoying tea and scones with their famous jam and mascarpone cream. After, spend time strolling through the village at your leisure, before returning to the pier and your waiting ship. * Easy - Walking portions are generally over easy surfaces with few steps or inclines. Total time walking or standing is normally not longer than 1.5 hours.
