London (Tilbury), England

Royal Horticultural Society Garden Hyde Hall

A Serene Nature Experience Immerse yourself in nature as you explore the diverse array of gardens at RHS Garden Hyde Hall. One of only five public gardens operated by the Royal Horticultural Society, the garden at Hyde Hall spans 360 acres. Once a working farm, today it is home to over 400 species of plants from all over the world. Upon arrival, meet your guide and set out to explore the many gardens, which include the vibrant Hilltop Garden with its abundant roses and herbaceous borders and the Dry Garden, where you will see drought-tolerant plants and learn techniques for low-maintenance, eco-friendly gardening. Your guide will be on hand to answer any questions you may have. After, explore further on your own, perhaps pausing for a moment of quiet reflection in the tranquil Queen Mother’s Garden, or heading to the reservoir for a chance to see swans, tufted ducks and herons. Please note: wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines. Total time walking or standing normally ranges from 1.5 to 3 hours.
