Tokyo On Your Own

An Ultramodern City Steeped in Imperial History Unravel the mysteries of Tokyo during independent exploration. Begin your journey with a ride by motor coach, accompanied by a guide who will share a city overview and provide you with a map of Tokyo. Upon arrival in the city center, your guide will inform you of the pick-up location and time. Then, you may set out on your own to discover Tokyo’s blend of old and new—perhaps venture to the Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, once home to a feudal lord and now a public park. You may choose to join the locals browsing the upscale shops and sushi bars in Tokyo’s famed Ginza district, or explore  Sensō-ji, the city’s oldest temple and one of its most revered. Founded during the 7th century, it has been rebuilt more than 200 times during its long history. At the end of your excursion, meet your guide at the pick-up point and return to your ship. * Easy - Walking portions are generally over easy surfaces with few steps or inclines. Total time walking or standing is normally not longer than 1.5 hours.
