Kayaking in Resurrection Bay & Rainforest Walk

Paddle Among Glacial Landscapes Immerse yourself in dramatic coastal scenery during a kayaking excursion and rainforest trek in Resurrection Bay. Begin with a narrated drive through Seward, where you will hear stories of the town’s fishing heritage and role as the gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park. Continue along Lowell Point Road, a gravel route hugging Resurrection Bay, and onward to the launch site to meet your kayaking guides and set out along the shoreline. Paddle past rocky coves, keeping watch for harbor porpoises and sea otters as you glide along the water. Step ashore and enjoy hot drinks and snacks before setting out for a guided walk through the rainforest to observe its cascading waterfalls—part of the northernmost temperate rainforest in the world, it is also home to Sitka spruce and hemlock plants that thrive in the cool, moist climate. After, you will return to your awaiting ship. * Demanding - Physically challenging activities, including extensive walks, hiking, riding, water sports, and high altitude activities.
