Organic Culinary and Farming Experience Visit a family-run organic farm and use its produce to help create your delicious lunch. Set among the picturesque wooded hills next to the Saguenay Fjord, Les Jardins de Sophie grows fruit, vegetables and herbs using traditional methods. Embark on a scenic journey through the neighborhood of Chicoutimi, during which your guide will describe the region’s history and culture. Upon arrival at the farm, you will be warmly greeted by its owners. They will take you on a guided tour to share their experiences in market gardening and organic farming, and show you the tractors, root cellar, greenhouse, nursery and forge. Then, join the farm’s chef in the kitchen of the rustic St. Sapin Pavillon. Enjoy a tasting menu prepared by the chef, made in part from freshly harvested ingredients. If you choose, you may help prepare some of the side dishes to complete this authentic food experience. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines.
