Night Swimming at Cenote San Ignacio

Explore a Hidden Cenote After Dark Swim beneath the stars during a visit to Cenote San Ignacio, one of the Yucatán’s most sacred natural wonders. A short transfer from your ship takes you to Cenote San Ignacio, a semi-open cenote nestled within a collapsed cave. Soft lighting reveals the peaceful interior of this limestone chamber, illuminating its clear pools and the mineral texture of the vaulted rocks. Upon arrival, enjoy a welcome drink with your fellow guests and soak up the peaceful atmosphere of the cenote while your guide shares insight into these fascinating natural formations and their spiritual significance to the Maya people. Later, as night falls, enter the calm waters for a swim beneath the stars. See the stalactites that line the cavern’s roof as you float along or stargaze from the cenote’s edge. After, return to your awaiting ship. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines. Total time walking or standing normally ranges from 1.5 to 3 hours.
