Chichén Itzá Maya Ruins

Behold the Legacy of the Maya At Chichén Itzá Travel to Chichén Itzá, one of the most impressive Maya archaeological sites in the Americas. Once a significant political, economic and religious center for the Maya civilization, today Chichén Itzá is both a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. The ruins of this former pilgrimage site and urban center are remarkably well-preserved, offering a glimpse into the past. A two-hour drive by motor coach takes you inland to the complex, where you will set out to explore with your guide and uncover its rich history—view its centerpiece, the Pyramid of Kukulcan or “El Castillo,” and other landmarks including the Platform of Skulls, the Jaguar Temple, the Sacred Cenote and more. View the stone columns of the Warriors’ Temple and learn about the people who once lived in the city. After your visit, return to your awaiting ship. * Demanding - Physically challenging activities, including extensive walks, hiking, riding, water sports, and high altitude activities.
