From our anchorage, you will tender to the island’s main port at Athinios. Here, you will meet your local guide for a scenic drive to Megalochori, set on coastal cliffs and surrounded by vineyards that produce the island’s famous vinsanto wine. Admire the mix of neoclassical homes and old cave houses that line its winding cobblestone streets and stop for striking views of the caldera below. Continue on to Pyrgos, the island’s former capital. Soak up its relaxed atmosphere and stunning countryside vistas, then head to a local restaurant for an opportunity to savor local mezes and wine. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines.
