Known as the “Sailing Capital of the World,” Newport was host to the international competition for more than 50 years. Walk the short distance from the pier to the dock of former cup winners, where you will meet your expert crew and receive a safety briefing before boarding a 12-meter class America’s Cup yacht. As you glide out into the waters of Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay, you will be encouraged to assist the crew with the sailing of this streamlined vessel. During your journey, you will pass by the area’s lavish coastal estates and lighthouses, as well as the Newport Bridge. After experiencing the thrill of sailing on a true racing yacht, you will return to the pier and your ship. * Demanding - Physically challenging activities, including extensive walks, hiking, riding, water sports, and high altitude activities.
