A Celtic Celebration
Revel in a Rich Scottish Tradition Attend an authentic ceilidh (pronounced “kay-lee”), a Scottish- and Acadian-inspired kitchen party. You will find that the food is plentiful and the music festive. Traditionally, these gatherings of friends and families occurred in the host’s kitchen around the hearth and featured abundant food. Music has long been a mainstay of the community in this corner of Canada, so musicians brought along their fiddles and guitars and made use of the house piano, inspiring guests to sing and dance. Our version of the traditional kitchen party will feature one of Prince Edward Island’s most popular ceilidh performers. During the celebration, you will enjoy a delicious seafood chowder and a lobster roll, accompanied by a glass of wine or beer. Your appetite sated, head out on foot for a short walking tour of the historic Old Town, before returning to your awaiting ship. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines. Total time walking or standing normally ranges from 1.5 to 3 hours.
