Winslow Homer Art Studio

Experience Maine’s Inspiring Coastline Discover the life and works of renowned American artist Winslow Homer. Embark on a private transfer to the home of the great painter and learn what inspired his masterpieces. Homer resided at the property from 1883 until his death in 1910; as you stand and gaze over the commanding vistas of the Atlantic Ocean and the waves crashing against its rocky shores, you will certainly see why. Declared a National Historic Landmark in 1966, the studio was purchased by the Portland Museum of Art in 2006. During your tour, you will walk through the house and into rooms that offer spectacular views of the dramatic, ever-changing Maine coast, and see how Homer brought it to life in his paintings. Weather permitting, you may stroll down to Cliff Walk and follow in his footsteps. After your tour, you will board your private transfer and return to your ship. * Easy - Walking portions are generally over easy surfaces with few steps or inclines. Total time walking or standing is normally not longer than 1.5 hours.
