A Thrilling Ride in Search of Wilderness Experience the Ålesund coastline and islands in the most exciting fashion: by rigid inflatable boat, or RIB. You will walk to our embarkation point, don your required life jacket and board a safe and comfortable RIB. For the next two hours, enjoy an intimate tour of breathtaking shores, skimming along the waters at high speed, sea spray in your face. View the stunning coastline of Sunnmøre, where you might glimpse marine life. Pass the picturesque Grasøyane Lighthouse, the last cast iron tower built in Norway and, if you are lucky, you may spot the seal colony that inhabits the nearby shoreline. You will also skirt the shores of Runde, see its stout lighthouse and hear the story of the shipwrecked Akerendam and its cargo of 19 chests of gold and silver. As you search the cliffs, you will also see the caves beneath. After your safari, return to shore and walk back to your ship. A liability waiver must be signed to participate in this tour.
