Loch Lomond & Glengoyne Distillery
Glasgow (Greenock), Scotland

Loch Lomond & Glengoyne Distillery

A True Taste of the Highlands See the largest freshwater lake in Britain and visit the renowned Glengoyne Distillery. Travel by motor coach northward through the beautiful highland countryside, treasured for its wild beauty and mysterious lochs. There will be plenty of opportunity for photo stops as you pass Loch Lomond. In addition, your knowledgeable local guide will recount tales of Rob Roy, the famous 17th-century Scottish hero who led Clan MacGregor into many battles around these valleys. Your panoramic tour brings you to Glengoyne Distillery, where bold, complex whiskies are produced from the slowest stills in Scotland and matured in only the finest casks. Here, you will have the chance to learn about the whisky’s history and distilling process, and the opportunity to sample a “wee dram” of the final product. After your tour, you will have time to browse the whisky and mementos in the distillery’s shop before returning to your ship. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines. Total time walking or standing normally ranges from 1.5 to 3 hours.
