Journey by motor coach through Dover, known as the “Gateway to England.” Steeped in over 2,000 years of history, this vibrant coastal town is home to the famed White Cliffs of Dover and Dover Castle. You will pause for a photo of the facade of this iconic fortress before continuing your drive to the town of Deal, a former fishing town with a rich naval history. Join your guide for an orientation walk through the town, then set off to enjoy its sights at your own pace. Perhaps take a stroll along the seafront and admire Deal’s historic pier, visit Deal Castle (entrance fee payable at guests’ own expense) or browse the independent shops and cafés. After, you will rejoin your guide for the return drive to your ship. * Easy - Walking portions are generally over easy surfaces with few steps or inclines.
