Belleek Pottery

The Origins and Artistry of Parian Ware Uncover the history of Belleek Pottery and learn about the fine craftsmanship involved its production. Embark on a scenic drive by motor coach to the banks of the Erne River, home to Belleek Pottery. Established during the mid-19th century, Belleek’s early production centered on high-quality domestic ware such as washstands, floor tiles and tableware. From 1863 onward, the craftsmen at Belleek introduced their signature style of Parian ware, characterized by its thinness and iridescent surface. The techniques used to create this style are still practiced today. Accompanied by your guide, discover the intricate processes required to create Belleek pottery, from the potter’s bench to the painting room. Cap your visit with a warm beverage and scones in the restaurant before visiting the showroom for a chance to purchase your very own Belleek pottery piece. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines. Total time walking or standing normally ranges from 1.5 to 3 hours.
