The Giant’s Causeway
Londonderry, Northern Ireland

The Giant’s Causeway

Rugged Coastal Landscapes and Local Folklore Witness the natural beauty of the Giant’s Causeway, Northern Ireland’s only UNESCO World Heritage Site. Drive through the picturesque Irish countryside en route to the Giant’s Causeway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1986. Upon arrival, step inside the Visitor Centre to discover the array of stories associated with this spectacular natural wonder; composed of 40,000 basalt stones, it is said that the Causeway was formed during an argument between warring giants. Immerse yourself in the rich mythology of the region as you learn about its geology, flora and fauna, before making your way to the causeway to see it for yourself. Step onto the stones and marvel at the unique rock formations with their rugged symmetry and the Atlantic waves crashing against the columns. Afterward, head to a local restaurant to enjoy a delicious lunch, before returning to your awaiting ship. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines. Total time walking or standing normally ranges from 1.5 to 3 hours.
