Learn About Local Heritage & Sample Traditional Cuisine Discover the culture and flavors of the Penang region during a visit to a wet market and a hands-on cooking class. Following a 90-minute drive by motor coach, you will reach a traditional wet market, where you will set out to explore stalls displaying the spices, herbs and fresh produce central to Nyonya cooking. Observe how the vendors prepare ingredients and hear how they are selected for daily dishes before continuing to a private kitchen for a hands-on class. Here, you will prepare local dishes under the guidance of your host, Chef Debbie Teoh. Observe the chef in action and assist with the preparation of a main dish and a dessert, then sit down to enjoy your creations.
