A Historic and Culinary Journey Through the Heart of Berlin Enjoy a panoramic tour of Berlin followed by lunch at the iconic Reichstag. After an escorted scenic train ride, meet your guide in the heart of Berlin. A city drive takes you to remnants of the Berlin Wall, Checkpoint Charlie and the Brandenburg Gate. Visit the impressive Berlin Cathedral, before continuing to the Reichstag building, Germany’s first National House of Parliament. Few buildings in the city have witnessed so much history. On arrival, pause to take in the stunning glass-dome cupola designed by Sir Norman Foster—it symbolizes transparency and democracy, allowing citizens to literally look down as their government is in session. After lunch, you will continue past the Victory Column, Bellevue Palace and Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church. Later, if time permits, browse the shopping quarter before returning to your ship by train. Please note: as the Reichstag is the seat of the German parliament, the venue may be subject to closure on short notice and without any prior warning.
