Tallinn’s Nautical & Industrial Past

A Maritime Museum and a Journey Through Old Shipyards Visit a former shipbuilding district and the Seaplane Harbour, a maritime museum, to discover Tallinn’s seafaring past. Drive by motor coach to Kalamaja, Tallinn’s old fishing village and worker's district. Begin your journey with a guided walk through this neighborhood, taking in the traditional wooden homes that once housed the city’s fishermen, before reaching the Patarei Sea Fortress and Prison. Continue to the Seaplane Harbour, Estonia’s maritime museum, located in an early 20th-century seaplane hangar. View exhibits, including a submarine, icebreaker and seaplane, to discover Estonia’s maritime history. Next, walk to the Noblessner Quarter to gain insight into its transformation from an industrial hub to a vibrant and modern area, and to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Cap your day with a visit to the Kopli Peninsula, once home to major Russian shipyards. After, return to your ship. * Demanding - Physically challenging activities, including extensive walks, hiking, riding, water sports, and high altitude activities.
