An Evening Kayak to Lake McLaren’s Glow Worms

Pursue a Natural Phenomenon Embark on a twilight kayak journey to witness the luminescence of New Zealand’s glow worms. Board your motor coach and travel inland through lush countryside to arrive at McLaren Falls Park. Upon arrival, enjoy a light snack while your tour guide briefs you on your upcoming twilight kayak. Once briefed, you will don your life jacket, climb into your two-person kayak and begin your journey through the waters of Lake McLaren. Take in the stunning scenery as you paddle, following your guide to a narrow canyon, arriving just after sunset to see the glow worms as they shine their brightest. Marvel at the constellations they form as you explore this natural wonder and learn about the life cycle of these incredible insects. Afterward, paddle back to shore and return to base, before boarding your coach and driving back to your awaiting ship. * Demanding - Physically challenging activities, including extensive walks, hiking, riding, water sports, and high altitude activities.
