Batu Caves & Kuala Lumpur Highlights

Limestone Caves and City Sights Visit a Hindu temple set within a dramatic cave complex and see famed landmarks during a panoramic drive. Board your motor coach for the 90-minute drive to the Batu Caves, one of Malaysia’s most renowned landmarks. Home to several Hindu temples, this cave complex is formed within a limestone hill estimated to be more than 400 million years old. Upon arrival, see the golden statue of the Hindu deity Lord Murugan and ascend the colorful steps to reach the main temple. Gain insight into Malaysia’s religious heritage before heading to the National Monument, a war memorial dedicated to those who gave their lives during Malaysia’s struggle for independence. Return to your coach for a panoramic drive through the city as you journey back to your ship, pausing along the way for photos of the Old Railway Station, the National Mosque, Independence Square and Petronas Twin Towers. Please note: when visiting religious sites, both men and women should ensure that clothing covers their shoulders and knees. Order of visits may vary. * Demanding - Physically challenging activities, including extensive walks, hiking, riding, water sports, and high altitude activities.
