A Journey Through Corfu’s Past

Archeological Museum and Corfu Old Town Discover centuries of Corfu’s history with a visit to its Archaeological Museum and a stroll in its Old Town. Board your motor coach and drive along the coast to Garitsa Bay, where you will visit the Archaeological Museum. With your guide, walk through antiquities and artifacts from the island’s markets, harbors and private houses, spanning from the 7th century BC to the 4th century AD. Next, return to your coach and head to the 14th-century Venetian Old Fortress, where you will admire its impressive presence before wandering by foot through the Esplanade Square and into the Old Town. Explore this maze of winding streets, to discover shops and historic buildings, including the Royal Palace of St. George and St. Michael, and the Liston Piazza before arriving at the Greek Orthodox Saint Spyridon Church. Here, enjoy free time to admire its collection before returning to your ship. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines. Total time walking or standing normally ranges from 1.5 to 3 hours.
