Capture Alaskan Wildlife and Landscapes Join a small group on a scenic drive and get tips on how to photograph Alaska’s landscapes and wildlife. Haines is known for its stunning landscapes and array of wildlife. Meet your guide at the pier and set out by motor coach with your expert photographer, who will share tips on how to make the most out of your camera—whether you are using a professional-grade camera or a smart phone. You will stop at some of the region’s best locations for wildlife activity and views of dramatic landscapes. Learn how to take advantage of the light, camera settings and composition while keeping your eyes peeled for bald eagles and brown bears, which are known to frequent the banks of the Chilkoot River. At the end of your excursion, you will receive a signed copy of Where Eagles Gather , written by Joe Ordonez, a local Haines author, photographer and expert on the Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve. Please note: wildlife sightings are not guaranteed. * Easy - Walking portions are generally over easy surfaces with few steps or inclines.
