Begin your journey with a scenic drive by motor coach up the Haines Scenic Byway. Your guide will narrate as you travel alongside the Chilkat River, passing glaciers fed by the nearby icefields of the Chilkat Range and towering mountain peaks created by the Fairweather fault line. At the jet boat facility, board your vessel and set out to explore the river’s many different channels; your boat’s flat-bottom design will allow you to reach places others cannot, and its quiet outboard motor will not disturb the tranquility of your surroundings. Bask in the unparalleled beauty of the Alaskan wilderness and keep watch for moose, bears and eagles along the shoreline. At the end of your cruise, you will return to your awaiting ship.
