Scenic Sailing: Tracy Arm

Tracy Arm by Boat

A Thrilling Ride Amid Pristine Landscapes Discover the spectacular scenery of the Tracy Arm, home to cascading falls and Alaskan wildlife. From the shell door of your ship, board a high-speed vessel for a ride across the icy-blue waters of the Tracy Arm, a protected, unspoiled area of Alaska’s North Pacific coast. Fed by the twin Sawyer Glaciers, its narrow fjord is lined with glacier-carved cliffs and stunning waterfalls providing the perfect opportunity to capture shots of the Alaskan wilderness on your camera. If you are lucky, you may see ice calving and hear its powerful rumble as it hits the waters of the fjord below. Keep watch for humpback whales, harbor seals, bald eagles and the occasional roaming bear along the shoreline. From your heated cabin, enjoy wraparound windows, as well as an outdoor viewing deck. A selection of refreshments are available on board for guests to purchase. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines. Total time walking or standing normally ranges from 1.5 to 3 hours.
