Wildlife Discovery

Join Biologists on a Boat Ride to Observe Alaskan Animal Life Cruise into the heart of Tongass National Forest on board a boat in search of Alaska’s wildlife. At the pier, meet your knowledgeable captain and guide—both qualified biologists—and board your heated, weatherproof vessel. Set off into the national forest, a vast refuge for thousands of marine and terrestrial species. Depending on the weather and the season, your guides will choose the best experience for you. You may head out into the Inside Passage, where you might see humpback whales feeding or sea otter pups frolicking with their mothers. Or, you may observe Steller sea lions fighting over the best sunning spots. Alternatively, you may see bald eagles feeding their young chicks. Wherever your day takes you, your guides will offer insight into animal life in this rugged region. Please note: Animal sightings cannot be guaranteed.
