Scenic Wrangell

Small-Group Excursion with a Local Resident Explore the charming town of Wrangell with a local resident and learn about daily life in Alaska. Nestled on the northwestern shores of its namesake island, Wrangell is home to more than 2,500 residents. Join your guide on a small-group excursion as you embark on an insightful drive through and around town. Your guide will answer questions and offer insight into the town’s history, fishing and timber industries, and more. You will see points of interests such as the famous Petroglyph Beach, the site of rock carvings dating back more than 5,000 years. Disembark your vehicle at a local trailhead for an easy stroll through the rainforest. Afterward, you will continue to a higher elevation to admire sweeping views of the islands and waters surrounding Wrangell. Take time for photographs and enjoy a snack before returning to your ship.
